三国时期，魏国派大将邓艾、钟会、诸葛绪联合灭蜀，蜀后主刘禅投降，大将姜维被迫投降，但他一心想恢复蜀国，鼓动钟会杀掉邓艾，然后准备出兵长安杀司马昭叛乱。部将夏侯和、羊琇、朱抚三人临危不顾，坚决反对钟会进行叛乱。
