译文
请听听我在酒杯前说的这番话，离别本是人生中无可奈何的事情，如果感情好的话，即使相隔千里，也会感觉很近，只是大江对岸的河山太无情了。
告诉建康的山和水，再也没有政治上的风波来纠缠我了。即使不能称为鸥鸟的同伴，但是习惯了以后也能像老渔翁一样，身穿蓑衣，在江上垂钓。
注释
定风波：词牌名，又名卷春空、定风波令、醉琼枝、定风流等。双调六十二字，前段五句三平韵两仄韵，后段六句四仄韵两平韵。另有双调六十三字，前段五句三平韵两仄韵，后段六句四仄韵两平韵；双调六十字，前段五句三平韵两仄韵，后段五句两平韵两仄韵；双调六十字，前后段各五句两平韵两仄韵等变体。
范廓之：即范开，据稼轩同时所作《醉翁操》题序，知范廓之将去临安应试。“游建康”，当是预拟之行。建康：即今江苏南京市。
“听我”两句：谓人生离别本属无可奈何之事。尊：同樽，酒杯。尊，《说文》：“尊，酒器也。”
“寄语”三句：寄语建康山水，我已再无风波之虞。石头城：《元和郡县志》：“石头城在上元县西四里，即楚之金陵城也。吴改为石头。”居士：古代称有德才而隐居不仕或未仕的人。此处稼轩自称。淳熙八年辛丑（1181），稼轩四十二岁，带湖新居落成，始以稼名轩，自号稼轩居士。浑：全。风波：此指政治上的风波。
借使：即使。鸥鸟伴：以鸥鸟为伴。黄庭坚《登快阁》诗：“万里归船弄长笛，此心吾与白鸥盟。”稼轩《水调歌头·盟鸥》：“凡我同盟鸥鹭，今日既盟之后，来往莫相猜。”
经惯：意指经历一段自我修养，已经习惯于隐居生活。
老渔蓑（suō）：张志和《渔歌子》：“青篛笠，绿蓑衣，斜风细雨不须归。” 柳宗元《江雪》：“千山鸟飞绝，万径人踪灭。孤舟蓑笠翁，独钓寒江雪。”渔蓑：指渔夫。蓑：蓑衣。

定风波·席上送范廓之游建康创作背景
此词作于宋光宗绍熙元年（1190）。时作者闲居带湖（今江西省上饶市城外），友人范廓之将游建康，建康在长江边上，是抗金前线，作者感慨万端，在席间作此词送别。

定风波·席上送范廓之游建康鉴赏
这是一首送别词。
此词的上片便写情感，写送别。开头三句，“人生无奈别离何”，此是自然之事，亦是情深语，所以无奈者，是人世间终将有别离也，不能不为别离，别离而又无能为，是虽无，亦真不可不为无奈也。即人生中离别是无可奈何的，也是无法改变的。只要亲情真挚，使在千里之外，也觉得很近。正是“海内存知己，天涯若比邻”的一种旷达。“无情对面是山河”一句写出作者深沉的感慨，因为建康是当时的抗金前线，词人也多次登建康赏心亭向北眺望中原山河，这次范廓之又要去建康游览，于是引起家国之恨。“但使”二语隽永之甚，“无情”两字，正是词人壮志未酬的忧怨。此处三句语意尤为拓展，既情深意厚，又胸次开阔。对面无情，咫尺天涯，固是路人姿态，若其衷不同，所谋所想为异，理想志意不相侔，根于现实世界之利益关系，则岂仅无情对面是山河而已，所谓无所不用其极以达其目的，世人岂吝为之者邪。
下片作见惯世面语，“而今”一句，仍可见作者之英雄豪气。由于投降派屈辱求和的政策，石头城下的江水也没有了那种怒涛。自己被排挤、受打击，已经闲居山林，假使不与鸥鸟为伴，也和披着蓑衣的渔父差不多。闲适旷达的背后，是志不得伸的愤懑、牢骚。寄语建康故人，而今归退田园，当无宦海风波之虞。
此词写送行而不流于感伤。明快爽朗，开人心胸。一起点明离宴，似悲实旷。上下两片，浑然相融，以此短篇而写寻常事，而能见出作者之性情、思想，而有特出之“神味”。

辛弃疾（1140－1207），南宋词人。原字坦夫，改字幼安，别号稼轩，汉族，历城（今山东济南）人。出生时，中原已为金兵所占。21岁参加抗金义军，不久归南宋。历任湖北、江西、湖南、福建、浙东安抚使等职。一生力主抗金。曾上《美芹十论》与《九议》，条陈战守之策。其词抒写力图恢复国家统一的爱国热情，倾诉壮志难酬的悲愤，对当时执政者的屈辱求和颇多谴责；也有不少吟咏祖国河山的作品。题材广阔又善化用前人典故入词，风格沉雄豪迈又不乏细腻柔媚之处。由于辛弃疾的抗金主张与当政的主和派政见不合，后被弹劾落职，退隐江西带湖。
