春苑月裴回，竹堂侵夜开。
惊鸟排林度，风花隔水来。
赏析
虞世南虽然不是一位伟大的诗人，但是他的作品具有一种不可否认的艺术魅力。他能够将各种陈旧的要素组织起来，产生新的效果，这种能力是其他宫廷诗人所缺乏的。在宫廷诗的受限制的美学范围，这可能是最值得赞赏的形式了。
这首诗表现了这位宫廷诗人对于外界的偶然事件及刹那间的美的注意。在最重要的对句技巧上，虞世南超过了大多数同时代人。他描写一对鹤：映海疑浮云，披涧泻飞泉。在第二句诗里，这对鹤变成从溪涧飞泻下来的白沫四溅的瀑布，表现了一种近于马罗尼式的新巧。有时，将陈旧要素进行新奇处理的愿望，使得诗人对自然界进行敏锐的观察，从而产生出精彩的对句。

永兴县文懿子虞世南，字伯施，汉族，余姚（慈溪市观海卫镇鸣鹤场）人。初唐著名书法家、文学家，政治家。隋炀帝时官起居舍人，唐时历任秘书监、弘文馆学士等。唐太宗称他德行、忠直、博学、文词、书翰为五绝（“世南一人，有出世之才，遂兼五绝。一曰忠谠，二曰友悌，三曰博文，四曰词藻，五曰书翰。”原有诗文集30卷，但早已散失不全。民国时期，张寿镛辑成 《虞秘监集》 4卷，收入 《四明丛书》。
