我闻唐虞称盛世，魑魅魍魉人莫制。神禹铸鼎妖露形，百色遁匿失其势。
揶揄彳亍何时无，寒光出匣中宵掣。终南进士号钟馗，英姿叱咤风云厉。
少壮学剑老无闻，没则击鬼典宿卫。欺欺膨亨满荒墟，登高矆睒竟奋锐。
駓駓不作蒙倛驱，怒时直欲赤郭噬。狼面毛首窜宫闱，紫囊玉笛怀而逝。
蓝袍鞟靴奋神武，鸣铗一挥寂然毙。涤净妖氛世钦君，敦脢血拇逐荒裔。
当年遗俗问吴越，画工图貌群献岁。开元天子坐明堂，从赐斯图传玉砌。
道子妙翰带刚风，呵欻掩郁传神艺。俗工如今画不同，幅幅白纻只穷计。
丹青历久重摩挲，觺觺眇暚试真谛。吁嗟乎，巨蠹艰奸满朝廷，睢盱跋扈争聛睨。
当时谁为清君侧，扫除邪佞靖疫疠。人心鬼域日愈多，当击不击受其戾。
苟能击鬼复击人，钟馗之功侔天帝。为展斯图重感慨，咏歌不足嗟叹继。

许家惺（1873-1925），字默斋，号东雷，浙江上虞人。出自书香门第，幼承家学，媕雅善诗文。屡次乡试落第，遂绝意科举，毕生从事自谓之“佣笔”事。前后任新闻报，中外日报之编撰及主笔。翻译出版西方的科普读本以及女子读本。家族后人辑有《许东雷诗存》。
