袁自陈分，初尚蹇连。越秦造汉，博士发论。司徒任德，忍不锢人。
收功厥后，五公重尊。晋氏于南，来处华下。鸿胪、孝侯，用适操舍。
南州勤治，取最不懈。当阳耽经，唯义之畏。石州烈烈，学专春秋。
懿哉咸宁，不名一休。趋难避成，与时泛浮。是生孝子，天子之宰。
出把将符，群州承楷。数以立庙，禄以备器。由曾及考，同堂异置。
柏版松楹，其筵肆肆。维袁之庙，孝孙之为。顺势即宜，以诹以龟。
以平其巇，屋墙持持。孝孙来享，来拜庙庭。陟堂进室，亲登笾铏。
肩臑胉骼，其樽玄清。降登受胙，于庆尔成。维曾维祖，维考之施。
于汝孝嗣，以报以祗。凡我有今，非本曷思。刻诗牲系，维以告之。

韩愈（768～824）字退之，唐代文学家、哲学家、思想家，河阳（今河南省焦作孟州市）人，汉族。祖籍河北昌黎，世称韩昌黎。晚年任吏部侍郎，又称韩吏部。谥号“文”，又称韩文公。他与柳宗元同为唐代古文运动的倡导者，主张学习先秦两汉的散文语言，破骈为散，扩大文言文的表达功能。宋代苏轼称他“文起八代之衰”，明人推他为唐宋八大家之首，与柳宗元并称“韩柳”，有“文章巨公”和“百代文宗”之名，作品都收在《昌黎先生集》里。韩愈在思想上是中国“道统”观念的确立者，是尊儒反佛的里程碑式人物。
