法师安远徒，我见常磬折。颓纲制像运，基搆甚宏达。
煌煌四十载，说法倾吴越。人天会方丈，万趾常杂遝。
蔼然如丘山，四座羞蚁垤。投老倦挥麈，毅然辞且决。
饥鹰得秋风，转盼俄一掣。结茅南山陲，云萝占幽绝。
昔我海上还，相寻访林樾。夜阑叩微要，猿鸟寂不聒。
慧风洒幽襟，法雨濯枯蘖。别来今四载，寒暑惊屡阕。
相望如晨星，杳杳各天末。何当从杖藜，一笑龙泓月。

释道潜，本名昙潜，号参寥子，赐号妙总大师。俗姓王，钱塘（今浙江杭州）人（《续骫骳说》）。一说姓何，于潜（今浙江临安西南）人（《咸淳临安志》卷七○）。幼即出家为僧，能文章，尤喜为诗。与苏轼、秦观友善，常有倡和。哲宗绍圣间，苏轼贬海南，道潜亦因诗获罪，责令还俗。徽宗建中靖国元年（一一○一），曾肇为之辩解，复为僧。崇宁末归老江湖。其徒法颖编有《参寥子诗集》十二卷，行于世。
