慈母人间非不多，慈而节者能几何。洪母之慈似亦少，慈不徒爱爱而教。
一灯母子共分光，母读子读影相吊。若其操节果何如，为念夫家世业儒。
我今傥若差一念，万卷家藏弃无馀。天地一逆旅，百年能几许。
夫在则视夫，夫亡则视子。但愿子有立，夫死犹不死。
妾身自分止于此。吁嗟兮洪君，君母之贤世罕伦。
君今莫计位高下，只取胸中一物真。我闻立身须以道，善名是显亲。
汗青岂必皆达者，未计眼前屈与伸。我亦为人子，年来已度三十春。
家贫自少事章句，父祖力家百苦辛。往年吾祖已捐弃，临行犹愿孙成器。
而今一第市童怜，痛哉吾祖安在矣。祖母于今老色深，念之中痛不能任。
双亲四目仅一子，况复暮景仍骎骎。平生学力尽虚耳，世事颠迷无与比。
静中自笑复自悲，授之以政将何以。每览程朱性理书，践履一意负心期。
古云三十骨骼成，轻暴气质若未移。颜渊三十德行立，邓禹三十功业毕。
我今三十何为哉，少日已去老将来。父祖教育良可哀。
为感洪君诉母苦，客灯独对泪如雨。濡毫不管诗家数，为君草草传心语。

蔡清（1453--1508年），字介夫，别号虚斋，明晋江人。31岁中进士，累官至南京文选郎中、江西提学副使，著名的理学家。他治学严谨，在床边设案置烛台，凡与学生讲论的问题，临寐前反复思考 ，若有所得即起床，点灯纪录备忘。因积劳成疾，年56岁而逝。
