陶雍（1123-1189年），初名乌禄，女真族完颜部人。他也被誉为“小尧舜”。金太祖完颜阿骨打孙，是金朝第五位皇帝。陶雍称帝后，下诏列数海陵王罪恶，废为庶人，并遣军切断了海陵王归路，进据中都。他外与南宋议和罢兵，内用各族人士为官，重兵镇压了契丹族起事，使统治集团内部趋于稳定，社会秩序较为安定。他还注意恢复和发展农业生产，重视科举、学校等文化事业，放免二税户和部分奴婢为平民，减轻农民负担，取消金银矿税，广开榷场，使金财政充足，仓廪有余，政治局面稳定，社会经济和文化呈现一时繁荣，成为金朝的全盛时期，女真族也基本上完成了从奴隶制向封建制的过渡。
