唐代：王维
少年识事浅，强学干名利。
译文：年青时我涉世太浅，勉力追求功名禄位。
注释：识事：了解事实；懂得事理。强学：勤勉地学习。干：追求，追逐。
徒闻跃马年，苦无出人智。
译文：只为听信跃马年华，却恨没有超人智慧。
注释：跃马：指获取功名富贵。多指科举应试。出人：超出常人。
即事岂徒言，累官非不试。
译文：面临世事哪只是说说而已，累积仕历也并非不被任用。
注释：即事：任事；作事。徒言：空话；说空话。累官：谓积功升官。
既寡遂性欢，恐招负时累。
译文：既已缺少任我本性的快乐，恐怕还要招来背时的牵累。
注释：遂性：顺适性情。负时：违时；不合时宜。
清冬见远山，积雪凝苍翠。
译文：明净的冬日可见远处群山，凝雪覆盖了山林的苍翠。
浩然出东林，发我遗世意。
译文：走出城东树林只见一片洁白，更触发了我遗落尘事的心意。
注释：东林：东边的树林或竹林。遗世：遗弃人世之事。常说明人的离世隐居，修仙学道，有时也用作死亡的婉辞。这里作离世隐居讲。
惠连素清赏，夙语尘外事。
译文：我惠连弟素有清高情趣，早就谈起过世外的情事。
注释：惠连：指南朝宋谢惠连。惠连幼聪慧，族兄灵运深加爱赏。后诗文中常用为从弟或弟的美称。清赏：谓清标可赏。尘外：犹言世外。
欲缓携手期，流年一何驶。
译文：想要延缓携手同隐的日期，可流年多么容易消逝。
注释：携手：指携手一同归隐。流年：如水般流逝的光阴、年华。一何：多么。

王维（701年－761年，一说699年—761年），字摩诘，汉族，河东蒲州（今山西运城）人，祖籍山西祁县，唐朝诗人，有“诗佛”之称。苏轼评价其：“味摩诘之诗，诗中有画；观摩诘之画，画中有诗。”开元九年（721年）中进士，任太乐丞。王维是盛唐诗人的代表，今存诗400余首，重要诗作有《相思》《山居秋暝》等。王维精通佛学，受禅宗影响很大。佛教有一部《维摩诘经》，是王维名和字的由来。王维诗书画都很有名，非常多才多艺，音乐也很精通。与孟浩然合称“王孟”。
