陶渊明以正月五日游斜川，临流班坐，顾瞻南阜，爱曾城之独秀，乃作斜川诗，至今使人想见其处。元丰壬戌之春，余躬耕于东坡，筑雪堂居之，南挹四望亭之后丘，西控北山之微泉，慨然而叹，此亦斜川之游也。乃作长短句，以《江城子》歌之。
注释：陶渊明：一名陶潜，字元亮，东晋著名诗人。斜川：古地名，在今江西都昌、星子之间的鄱阳湖畔。班坐：依次列坐。南阜：南山，指庐山。曾城：山名，在江西星子县西五里，一名乌石山。斜川诗：指陶渊明《游斜川》诗。元丰壬戌之春：宋神宗元丰五年（1082）春季。东坡：苏轼躬耕处。挹：通“抑”，抑制。长短句：词曲的别称。
梦中了了醉中醒。只渊明，是前生。走遍人间，依旧却躬耕。昨夜东坡春雨足，乌鹊喜，报新晴。
译文：在世俗沉沉的醉梦里了悟人生真谛的清醒者，算起来也只有陶渊明，是我的跨越时空的知音。尝尽世态炎凉，宦海浮沉，回归田园依旧躬身耕耘。欣逢昨夜春雨如甘霖，把我的东坡田园滋润，更有喜鹊报喜来，晴暖气象新。
注释：了了：明白，清楚。前生：先出生，此有前辈之意。却：还。躬耕：亲自耕种。乌鹊：喜鹊。
雪堂西畔暗泉鸣。北山倾，小溪横。南望亭丘，孤秀耸曾城。都是斜川当日景，吾老矣，寄余龄。
译文：最爱听雪堂西畔一道幽泉的潺潺；最爱看北山倾斜的身姿，还有小溪横流在山前；南望亭台丘壑，错落有致，四望亭的后丘耸立高山巅；这山水田园一一是渊明境界，真真是当年斜川再现。叹一声吾老矣，就此寄余年。
注释：倾：斜，此就山体形成的斜坡而言。亭丘：即四望亭的后丘。孤秀耸曾城：孤峙秀美如同耸立的曾城山。曾城，增城山，传说中的地名。亦泛指仙乡。余龄：余生。

苏轼（1037－1101），北宋文学家、书画家、美食家。字子瞻，号东坡居士。汉族，四川人，葬于颍昌（今河南省平顶山市郏县）。一生仕途坎坷，学识渊博，天资极高，诗文书画皆精。其文汪洋恣肆，明白畅达，与欧阳修并称欧苏，为“唐宋八大家”之一；诗清新豪健，善用夸张、比喻，艺术表现独具风格，与黄庭坚并称苏黄；词开豪放一派，对后世有巨大影响，与辛弃疾并称苏辛；书法擅长行书、楷书，能自创新意，用笔丰腴跌宕，有天真烂漫之趣，与黄庭坚、米芾、蔡襄并称宋四家；画学文同，论画主张神似，提倡“士人画”。著有《苏东坡全集》和《东坡乐府》等。
