江南倦客登临，多少豪雄，几许消沉。今日何堪，买田阳羡，挂剑长林。霞缕烂谁家昼锦，月钩横故国丹心。窗影灯深，磷火青青，山鬼喑喑。
译文：落拓江南的倦游人此处登临，想历史上多少豪杰，曾风流几时，终归消沉。今天怎堪忍受，当年苏东坡曾有买田之叹，吴公子也只落得挂剑长林。晚霞灿烂，辉映着谁家的昼锦楼堂，残月如钩，空对着我思念故乡的心灵。人家窗影的灯火昏昏，窗外闪耀着磷火青青，远处传来鬼语的暗暗。
注释：折桂令，曲牌名。又称《蟾宫曲》、《天香引》、《秋风第一枝》等，共十一句。毗（pì）陵：古县名，春秋时吴季札的封地，治所在今江苏省常州市。倦客：倦于游宦的人。几许消沉：几许，多少。多少人消沉下去了。买田阳羡：苏轼晚年想定居于阳羡，有买田于此的意思。阳羡，古县名。在今江苏省宜兴县南。语出宋苏轼《菩萨蛮》：“坐谪六年，止求自便，买田阳羡。誓毕此生。”挂剑长林：长林，茂密的树林，此处用典一说指代春秋时季札为祭奠亡友，将宝剑挂在其坟上的故事。昼锦：原为衣锦荣归之决。磷火：由骨殖分解出来的磷化氢，在空气中会自动燃烧，在墓地中多见。喑喑：泣不成声的样子。

乔吉(1280?～1345) 元代杂剧家、散曲作家。一称乔吉甫，字梦符，号笙鹤翁，又号惺惺道人。太原人，流寓杭州。钟嗣成在《录鬼簿》中说他“美姿容，善词章，以威严自饬，人敬畏之”，又作吊词云：“平生湖海少知音，几曲宫商大用心。百年光景还争甚？空赢得，雪鬓侵，跨仙禽，路绕云深。”从中大略可见他的为人。剧作存目十一，有《杜牧之诗酒扬州梦》、《李太白匹配金钱记》、《玉箫女两世姻缘》三种传世。
