为谁忙，莫非命。西风驿马。落月书灯。青天蜀道难，红叶吴江冷。两字功名频看镜，不饶人白发星星。钓鱼子陵，思莼季鹰，笑我飘零。
译文：究竟是为谁这样辛苦奔波？莫非是命中注定。西风萧瑟瘦马颠簸，落月下书卷伴一盏昏灯。蜀道之难难于上青天，红叶满山吴江凄冷。为那两字功名，岁月匆匆不饶人，镜中人已白发频添。垂钓的严光，思恋莼羹的季鹰，定会笑我飘零。
注释：西风驿马：指在萧瑟西风中驱马奔忙。吴江：即松江，为太湖最大的支流。钓鱼子陵：指拒绝汉光武帝征召隐居垂钓的严光。思莼季鹰:张翰，字季鹰。翰因见秋风起，乃思吴中菰菜．莼羹．鲈鱼脍，曰：人生贵得适志，何能羁宦数千里以要名爵乎！遂命驾而归。

张可久（约1270～1348以后）字小山（一说名伯远，字可久，号小山）（《尧山堂外纪》）；一说名张可久肖像（林晋生作）可久，字伯远，号小山（《词综》）；又一说字仲远，号小山（《四库全书总目提要》），庆元（治所在今浙江宁波鄞县）人，元朝重要散曲家，剧作家，与乔吉并称“双壁”，与张养浩合为“二张”。
