碎琼揉香作肌骨，霁日吹红染肤色。
人间何处有此葩，一种风流初未识。
东隅月户编三千，夜修玉关瀛洲前。
拂摇桂子偶坠此，雨露培植开韶妍。
史翁移根出葱茜，雕斛持归翠微殿。
一朝丽质冠百昌，御墨分题落团扇。
何年流转江南乡，一本奚翅千金偿。
分枝接叶色已浅，纵有此花无此香。
绝爱西山佳丽地，蔼蔼修林倚清吹。
宁论斜日杏花酣，未许熙春海棠睡。
是时金气初高明，宇宙轩豁澄埃氛。
青霞绛雪互点缀，浓芬賸馥飘氤氲。
鹫峰繁黄今不数，破裓山僧练裙女。
试看香御拥红云，肃奉虚皇游碧宇。

胡榘（1164－1224），江西庐陵人，宋抗金名臣胡铨之孙。淳熙十四年（1187），24岁的胡榘以监庆元比较务摄任（暂代）象山县令，监比较务是州衙监管各县酒务（当时酒类属国家专买）的职事官员。淳熙十五年，李孟传就任象山令，胡榘去职。可就在十四年秋，胡榘到象邑之西山（西谷）赏丹桂，赞叹之余，引发诗兴，写了一首《咏丹桂》，在宽阔的联想和想像中，浓墨重彩地渲染了丹桂的风采。“象山县令诗咏象山花”成了一时传闻，此诗也不胫而走，被广泛传抄。
